What to Expect
Can a church family represent the diversity of a city like Los Angeles? At Culver Palms we try. On Sunday mornings you will see some of the vibrant diversity of this exciting city gathered to worship God through Jesus Christ.
Our worship is focused on God and the saving grace found in Jesus Christ. This saving grace is experienced each week as we gather around the Lord’s Table for communion and hear the good news proclaimed from the Scripture.
And because we believe God works in the lives of real people; our prayers are led, our scripture is read, and our communion is served by people just like you and me.
We also believe the Bible is important. Each week’s sermon comes straight from the Bible and how it relates to our lives. We also have Bible Classes that focus on Scripture each Sunday morning for all ages from children to teens to adults as well as Growth Groups that meet throughout the week.
Growth groups are small group gatherings in the homes of members throughout the area that give people a chance to get better acquainted, to discuss Sunday morning’s lesson and its individual applications, to share food and conversation and to pray for each other. We believe in the power of prayer. “If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them” (Matthew 18:19-20).
We hope you will find Culver Palms a place of warmth, welcome, and worship. Come as you are but be prepared for God to take you to a better place.

- The Church is a community of God's missionary people living as a demonstration of what God plans to do in and for all creation in Jesus Christ.
- God calls men and women to use their gifts in all aspects of the church's life.
- One day God will show his presence in Jesus again and all creation will be made new.
